Mount Rinjani to Reopen Fully on August 11, 2025

Mount Rinjani, one of Indonesia’s most iconic trekking destinations, is officially set to reopen for all trekking routes and activities starting August 11, 2025. This reopening marks the return of normal operations after seasonal closures and temporary restrictions due to safety or weather concerns.

According to the Rinjani National Park Authority, all entry points including Sembalun, Senaru, Torean, and Aik Berikwill be fully operational, with permits available through official channels. Trekkers can once again enjoy the full summit climb (3,726 m), Segara Anak Lake, the crater rim campsites, and the natural hot springs.

Local guides and porters are preparing to welcome climbers with improved services, emphasizing safety, cleanliness, and responsible trekking.

Visitors are encouraged to book through certified operators and follow park regulations to help preserve the fragile ecosystem of Rinjani.
