## Mount Rinjani Summit: A Paradise Above the Clouds

The **summit of Mount Rinjani** stands as the highest point on Lombok Island, West Nusa Tenggara, reaching an impressive altitude of **3,726 meters above sea level**. As the second-highest volcano in Indonesia, Rinjani’s summit is a dream destination for trekkers seeking both adventure and breathtaking natural beauty.

### An Unmatched View

From the summit, hikers are rewarded with a panoramic view like no other — **a sea of clouds**, a **vast volcanic caldera**, and the stunning **Segara Anak Lake** shimmering below. On clear days, the sunrise from Rinjani’s summit is a magical sight, as if the sun rises just for you in a kingdom above the clouds.

### The Journey to the Top

Most climbers begin their trek from either **Sembalun** or **Senaru** village. The Sembalun route is more popular due to its relatively gradual incline at the start and direct access to the summit. The final push to the top usually begins around 2 AM to catch the sunrise at the summit.

### Challenge & Preparation

While the view is rewarding, the trek to the summit is physically demanding. The final section, known as the “summit attack,” is steep, sandy, and mentally challenging. Proper gear, physical fitness, and a trusted local guide are essential to make the journey safe and enjoyable.
