### **Hot Springs at Mount Rinjani (Aik Kalak Hot Springs)**  

One of the best rewards of trekking Mount Rinjani is the **natural hot springs near Segara Anak Lake**, known as **Aik Kalak Hot Springs**. These geothermal springs are heated by volcanic activity beneath Rinjani and are considered sacred by the local Sasak people.

## **1. Where Are the Hot Springs Located?**  
The hot springs are located near **Segara Anak Crater Lake**, at around **2,000 meters above sea level**. They are only accessible by foot, usually on a **3-day or 4-day trek** via the **Sembalun or Senaru routes**.  

- **From Segara Anak Lake:** ~10–15 minutes walk  
- **From the crater rim:** ~1–2 hours descent  
- **From the summit:** ~5–7 hours descent  

After a long day of hiking, soaking in the warm, mineral-rich waters is a **perfect way to relax and recover**.

- **Most 3D2N or 4D3N trekking packages include a stop** at the hot springs.  
- If you take the **2D1N trek**, you will **not have enough time** to visit the hot springs.  
- The best way to enjoy them is on a **3D2N trek**, where you can spend **more time at the crater lake** before continuing your journey.
